By becoming a pet-sitter on our platform, you’ll have the opportunity to meet a variety of animals, provide caring attention, and earn extra income. Here’s how to start your journey.
Step 1
Create your account
Start by creating an account on Blooming Pets.
Fill in the basic information such as:
- your first name;
- your surname;
- your username;
- your email address;
- a secure password
Be sure to tick: Pet sitter (I want to look after animals)

Step 2
Complete your pet sitter profile
- your address*;
- your date of birth*;
- your telephone number*;
- your motivation for becoming a pet sitter;
- your experience with animals;
- your ACACED certification;
- your ID*. This allows you to display the « verified identity » icon on your profile, which is important for reassuring pet owners.

Fill in the following information:
- Your profile photo: it must be YOU in the photo, and your entire face must be visible so that pet parents can recognise you at a glance. A photo of you is also essential for verifying your identity 🪪 ;
- your other photos: with animals to show your skills and experience.
- your riding level and supporting documentation;
- indicate whether you have a licence to drive a horsebox;
- indicate whether you have transport for horses.

Step 3
Define your services and rates
- Indicate the types of services you offer (home visits, walks, etc.), as well as the rates per visit for one animal and per additional animal.
Example: you may decide that your rate for visiting one dog is £15 and £7 per additional dog. So for a visit to three dogs, your rate would be £15 + £7 + £7, for a total of £29 per visit.
🚨 Please note: A random rate, based on our sample price list, is automatically applied to your default profile. We strongly recommend that you further customise your profile and adjust your rates to reflect the value of your services and your level of expertise.
- Enter the discount you wish to apply based on 3 types of animals. For your information: 15% is the minimum discount accepted. For example, the discount will apply for a cat, a dog and an aquarium, but will not apply for two cats and a dog.
- Specify the geographical area in which you wish to offer your pet-sitting services. This area corresponds to a number of kilometres around your town. This will make it easier for pet owners to find you. You have the option of making this area flexible, with an additional charge per extra kilometre.

Step 4
Activating your profile
Once your profile is complete, our team will review it to ensure that it meets our quality standards.
You will receive a confirmation email once your profile has been activated.
In this email, we may also suggest improvements to your profile and/or ask you for supporting documents to ensure that your profile is complete and balanced.
We strongly advise you to follow this advice in order to have a reassuring and attractive profile for pet owners.
Once your profile is activated, you are ready to receive pet sitting requests.
Update your Blooming Pets calendar with your unavailable dates.
Keep an eye on your Blooming Pets messaging service ✉️ for new pet sitting opportunities. You will also receive an email notifying you of any pet sitting requests and pending messages in your Blooming Pets messaging service.
